Barkman Honey, a Kansas-based honey processor and packager, needed highly reliable systems to support its growing operations, including 25+ virtual machines, a mail server, a firewall, and an internal SQL cluster. After finding that weekly tape backups were not enough for business continuity, the company turned to LINBIT for stronger high-availability and disaster-recovery protection using DRBD® and DRBD Proxy®.

LINBIT implemented block-level, real-time replication so Barkman Honey could maintain an on-site replica of its core production system and an offsite mirror for site failure recovery.
