DAZN is a global live and on‑demand sports streaming service that delivers tens of thousands of events to millions of fans on any internet‑connected device. After winning a 10‑year exclusive J. League rights deal, DAZN’s capacity modeling showed it would soon max out servers in Japan; to maintain high‑quality, low‑latency streams, handle growing concurrent viewers, and prepare for further international expansion, DAZN looked to add another CDN.

DAZN selected Limelight for its global reach, performance technology and industry recommendations, and implemented a multi‑CDN strategy to load‑balance traffic and absorb live‑event spikes. Limelight’s private network and Advanced Service Architects helped lower startup times and buffering and reduce latency across multiple channels and markets, enabling DAZN to scale for major events and new rights (e.g., EPL, La Liga) while positioning Limelight as a key partner in their distribution strategy.
