Sophos Finds a Scalable Global Delivery Partner with Limelight Networks

Sophos, headquartered in Oxford, UK, provides simple, integrated IT security to more than 200,000 organizations and 100+ million users across 150 countries. As their threat intelligence and automatic update cadence grew—publishing security and identity updates every four hours to tens of millions of endpoints—Sophos could no longer reliably deliver 400–500 TB/month of downloads and handle peak traffic around 40 GB/s from its own network.

After an extensive proof-of-concept, Sophos migrated to Limelight’s Orchestrate Delivery and Storage, gaining global private delivery, robust reporting, seamless migration and responsive support. The move enabled consistent, secure delivery within the every-4-hour window, scalable cost containment, and the operational reliability Sophos needed to keep updates flowing to its worldwide customer base.
