The Cleveland Clinic, one of the top four hospitals in the United States, needed a warmer, more engaging way to deliver medical information to patients, families, and the public. To do that it sought to significantly expand its online video presence—letting patients see and hear doctors before visits and view procedure information—while avoiding buffering, manual workflows, and storage or delivery bottlenecks for a large and growing media library.
In January 2009 the clinic implemented Limelight Orchestrate Video with integrated cloud storage and CDN, enabling management of 1,000+ videos with channel grouping, tags/search, and permission-based workflow. The result is reliable, worldwide video delivery and faster publishing, improving patient engagement and allowing the site to scale its educational reach without operational friction.
