PFM Helps Manufacturer Overcome Shifting Priorities and Missed Deliveries

Streamline Industries, a Louisiana-based machining and custom manufacturing company, was struggling to consistently meet on-time delivery commitments because changing job priorities made scheduling difficult. After trying JobBOSS scheduling features and other tools without success, the company turned to LillyWorks and its Protected Flow Manufacturing (PFM) product to gain a more flexible way to prioritize and schedule work.

With LillyWorks PFM, Streamline implemented real-time job prioritization and the Predictor tool to simulate work orders, spot bottlenecks, and improve delivery planning. The result was a dramatic performance jump: on-time delivery rose from monthly lows of under 70% to 100% for two consecutive months, and above 95% for four of the prior five months. Streamline also gained confidence in quoting realistic delivery dates and answering customer inquiries with accurate production information.
