Preview of the Gasbarre Products, Inc. Case Study

PFM has brought stability and predictability to Gasbarre’s operations

Gasbarre Products, Inc., a Dubois, Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of powder compaction and sizing presses, was struggling with complex scheduling and inconsistent on-time delivery performance. As work priorities kept shifting across multiple locations and product types, the team faced long meetings, shop-floor delays, and too much work-in-progress. LillyWorks’ Protected Flow Manufacturing (PFM) was selected to help address the root cause of the problem: how work orders were scheduled and released.

LillyWorks implemented PFM integrated with Gasbarre’s existing ERP, and the company went live in just under six weeks. The system gave Gasbarre a single priority list, real-time visibility, and release-point control over work orders, which reduced confusion and helped the team focus on throughput instead of local utilization. As a result, Gasbarre improved year-to-date on-time delivery from 73% to 94%, cut WIP significantly, and gained the stability and predictability it needed to operate more efficiently.
