How Our Lab Partner Embraced Innovation and Won a Statewide Testing Contract

Avero Diagnostics, formerly Northwest Laboratory, needed a way to rapidly expand COVID-19 testing while keeping workflows efficient and results turnaround fast. Working with LigoLab and its TestDirectly direct-to-consumer lab testing portal, the lab aimed to scale high-volume screening and support statewide public health efforts in Florida.

LigoLab implemented its integrated LIS platform and TestDirectly to digitize ordering, collection, tracking, and reporting, replacing paper-based and manual processes. The solution helped Avero process 190,000 test results in four weeks, deliver results electronically within two to three days of specimen collection, and support the Florida Department of Health in screening 500,000 long-term care residents and employees across 4,000 facilities in 67 counties.
