Case Study: Roadrunner achieves 30%+ network cost savings with Lightyear

A Lightyear Case Study

Preview of the Roadrunner Case Study

Roadrunner Freight automates its telecom procurement and offloads painful vendor negotiations with Lightyear's software

Roadrunner, a national less-than-truckload (LTL) freight and logistics provider, was dealing with a large, complex network across 30+ distribution facilities, corporate offices, and two data centers. Its legacy network vendor was causing ongoing problems, including overbilling, poor service, billing errors, SLA breaches, and the need to modernize its IT strategy around cloud-centric services, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Lightyear helped Roadrunner remediate those vendor issues and manage a migration plan away from the legacy provider, including internet circuits, SD-WAN, colocation, PBX, CCaaS, and DRaaS sourcing. The result was 30%+ savings on internet/WAN, 80%+ savings on analog phone lines, and $300k saved on the DRaaS project, while also speeding the transition to CCaaS and improving service overall.
