RapidAir, the compressed-air piping brand of Engineered Specialties, needed to grow orders from smaller, price-sensitive customers without adding estimator headcount. LightningCAD supplied a cloud-based visual 2D/3D pipe system layout and estimation solution (built on the LightningCAD framework) so customers could design systems and get instant pricing online instead of relying on manual estimator workflows.

LightningCAD implemented a web-based design-and-estimate tool with spatially aware configuration for drops and outlets, compatible up-sell suggestions, CRM and shopping-cart integration, and an admin dashboard for estimator review. The solution cut small-customer estimating time from days to hours, drove immediate onsite design activity and conversions, allowed customers to purchase itemized quotes directly, and freed estimators to focus on larger, more complex projects.
