To scale and improve provider work-life balance, iNDIGO partnered with Lightning Bolt to implement its automated scheduling technology.
Lightning Bolt’s system auto-generates optimal schedules, enforces granular scheduling rules, and enabled iNDIGO to shift scheduling to a non-clinical administrator while moving physicians back to clinical roles. The combination of Lightning Bolt’s software and the new administrator helped iNDIGO grow from 37 to 118 providers (3x), achieve a total ROI of $38 million over five years (about $7.7 million per year), increase provider shift pickup by 35%, and generate major savings and revenue gains (including $6.3M avoided hiring costs and $22M in patient care revenue).
