Roon, a company founded by physicians and caregivers, faced the challenge of creating a trustworthy online platform for patients and caregivers navigating terminal illnesses. Lightmatter implemented a comprehensive technical solution for Roon, building a custom CMS with Wagtail and a React frontend hosted on Google Cloud Run. The solution included robust architecture, DevOps automation, and detailed analytics to measure user behavior. As a result, Roon successfully launched its platform and secured seed investment from top firms, enabling it to provide critical support to the glioblastoma community and scale to address other conditions. Lightmatter also helped establish a healthy engineering culture and smoothly transitioned ownership to Roon's internal team.
