Pearl Health sought to democratize value-based care for physicians but faced the challenge that primary care practices lacked the analytics, time, and capital to navigate complex payment models. To address this, they partnered with Lightmatter to build a transparent platform that would help providers understand their options and forecast the financial impact of programs like ACO REACH.

Lightmatter collaborated with Pearl Health to design, develop, and launch a customizable platform, initially focusing on provider readiness assessments and then building core tools for onboarding, payments, and community. The solution successfully empowered physicians, and by the end of 2022, Pearl had partnered with approximately 800 primary care providers across 29 states. Following this traction, Lightmatter's work contributed to Pearl securing a $75 million Series B funding round to further expand its reach and offerings.
