United Biscuits needed a low‑risk, cost‑effective way to gain accessible, timely manufacturing data and standard KPIs across its UK plants. After evaluating 11 suppliers, United Biscuits selected Lighthouse Systems and its web‑based Shopfloor‑Online platform to deliver a phased, scalable information strategy that would give all sites a common view of performance.

Lighthouse Systems implemented Shopfloor‑Online beginning with a pilot and then rolling the solution out to all 11 UK factories and 130 production lines, adding modules such as Overall Line Potential (OLP), Product Quality Analysis (PQA) across all sites and Process Monitoring (capturing 135 real‑time PLC data points). The Lighthouse Systems deployment delivered unified line/factory/global dashboards, standard reports, faster issue response, easier cross‑site training and demonstrable payback through improved efficiency, visibility of waste/output and consistent performance metrics.
