Shopfloor-Online MES drives plant performance improvements at leading automotive supplier

Le Bélier, the world leader in aluminium braking components, faced the challenge of increasing production and tightening client-driven quality controls while relocating and restructuring its machining plant in Hungary. To replace fragmented legacy systems and support a 24/7 operation with 285 staff and heavy quality demand (over 100,000 checks a year), Le Bélier selected Lighthouse Systems’ Shopfloor-Online MES to standardize processes, capture quality data and give managers timely visibility of plant performance.

Lighthouse Systems implemented Shopfloor-Online across production and quality, connecting machines (OPC on 16% of lines), integrating CMM data, and automating job changeovers and reporting. The MES delivered immediate visibility of OEE, stoppages and yields, supported 20+ NPIs, eliminated paper (saving >300,000 pages/year), and saved about 300 man-minutes per day while handling 1,000+ measuring actions daily—measurable gains in quality control, throughput and manufacturing agility.
