LINPAC Packaging needed an automated MES to collect, analyse and present shopfloor data to improve visibility, minimise downtime and raise OEE across multiple plants. After evaluating options, LINPAC selected Lighthouse Systems and its Shopfloor-Online solution to provide real-time dashboards, operator screens and an MES template to pilot and roll out site-by-site.

Lighthouse Systems implemented Shopfloor-Online at a St Helens pilot, integrated it with LINPAC’s Oracle ERP to download schedules and upload production, and then rolled the system out to additional UK and European sites. The deployment delivered measurable gains — payback in under 12 months, reduced raw-material use (notably in extrusion), lower spoilage, improved foam yield, labour and material cost savings, real-time OEE and downtime root-cause visibility, automated barcode labelling and full traceability — and LINPAC has engaged Lighthouse Systems for 24x7 support as it expands the rollout.
