Case Study: Bulten achieves greater shop-floor visibility and improved documentation with Lighthouse Systems Shopfloor-Online

A Lighthouse Systems Case Study

Preview of the Bulten Case Study

Bulten streamlines shop floor processes for greater visibility and improved documentation

Bulten, a leading supplier of fasteners to the European automotive industry, needed greater consistency, traceability and real-time visibility of shop floor processes to meet customer documentation and quality demands. To replace paper-based checks and aging SPC software, Bulten turned to Lighthouse Systems and its web-based Shopfloor-Online to standardize control plans and make process measurements and rules visible to operators across its plants in Sweden and Poland.

Lighthouse Systems implemented Shopfloor-Online (initially across cold forging, threading and heat treatment lines), integrating manual entry and direct gauge connections, scheduling measurements and raising real-time alerts when values move out of specification. The solution eliminated paper records and legacy SPC tools, improved documentation and reporting accuracy, reduced operator data-entry time, increased process visibility for faster issue detection, and has already been rolled out across multiple Bulten sites in Sweden and Poland with further extensions planned.
