Stash, an investing platform, needed to grow its Android user base in the US by acquiring new users who would both install the app and connect a bank account. They partnered with the mobile marketing platform Liftoff to meet this challenge.
Liftoff utilized machine learning to build lookalike audiences from Stash's postback data and ran extensive A/B testing on ad creatives. Their solution optimized for users most likely to install the app and link their bank accounts. The results were significant, with app installs increasing by 99% and, most importantly, a 134% increase in linked bank accounts, leading Stash to scale the campaign dramatically.
