Liftoff Re-Engagement Campaign Increases Purchases 221.4% for Coupang

Coupang, one of South Korea’s largest e-commerce apps, partnered with Liftoff to improve re-engagement on Android and drive more purchases from users who had already installed the app. The company wanted to stay within strict CPC and CPA targets while encouraging past browsers and cart abandoners to return and complete purchases.

Liftoff analyzed Coupang’s user flow, built and tested multiple ad creatives across banners, native ads, and interstitials, and used its machine learning platform to optimize bids toward the users most likely to convert. The campaign delivered strong results: purchases increased 221.4%, impressions rose 270.6%, CPCs stayed 60% below target, and CPAs stayed 51% below target, leading Coupang to scale spend by 893% while maintaining performance.
