Nanobit, a mobile game developer behind MyStory: Choose Your Own Path, wanted to revive user acquisition for its casual title after being hesitant to try influencer marketing. The company saw overlap between its Gen-Z and Millennial audience and users of Instagram and Snapchat, and looked for a lower-risk way to test influencer-driven installs. Liftoff Influence, then called JetFuel in the case study, was the platform Nanobit chose to explore.
Using Liftoff Influence, Nanobit ran a network-wide campaign across thousands of influencers with CPI bids that were 3–5x lower than other platforms. The result was a 101% day-7 ROI, a 51% week-over-week increase in organic installs, and a jump of 61 spots in the U.S. Apple App Store Top Free Games chart, from #105 to #44. Nanobit also identified top-performing influencer segments, such as fashion and lifestyle creators, and increased bids to drive more high-quality installs.
