The City of Jackson, Mississippi partnered with Venture Technologies and LifeSize to modernize communications across its 2,500-employee municipal government. Leaders needed to centralize and speed internal collaboration between departments and give the mayor a direct way to broadcast live and recorded video to residents.

The city deployed interactive whiteboards, touch tablets for field and departmental use, a LifeSize Room 220 multipoint video system and LifeSize Video Center for streaming and recording. The project improved emergency and field coordination, accelerated decision-making and training, and enabled the mayor to stream meetings and messages directly to citizens—receiving strong staff approval and plans to expand interdepartmental video conferencing.
