Virgin Mobile India, launched in 2008 as a national, youth-focused mobile service with major operations in Mumbai and New Delhi, faced rising travel between sites (a one-way 1,400 km trip) that was costly and time-consuming. Virgin Mobile deployed LifeSize HD endpoints and LifeSize Room HD systems (built‑in MCU supporting 6‑way continuous presence), which delivered DVD-quality video (848x480) even at 512 Kbps and was quickly adopted across teams. The rollout cut travel by 20% (monthly flights reduced from 10 to 5), achieved ROI in six months, increased face-to-face collaboration and productivity, and set the stage to expand the video network as the company grows.
