The George Washington University Utilizes LifeSize HD Streaming and Recording Technology to Educate Future Art Therapists, School Counselors

The George Washington University’s Columbian College needed a modern, reliable way to record and stream counseling and art therapy sessions used for student training and supervision. After years of using VHS, DVDs and an Apple QuickTime server that was eventually discontinued, the college sought a replacement that would simplify recording, live streaming and archiving while meeting accreditation requirements.

They deployed LifeSize UVC Video Center with LifeSize Express 220 codecs and Crestron touch panels, providing one-button streaming, recording and auto-publishing integrated with Active Directory and the college’s virtual infrastructure. The system lets supervisors view sessions live or immediately after recording, meets digital-recording accreditation needs, is easy for students to use, and simplified IT management with no proprietary formats.
