Knowledge transfer via video – Experts in robotics at the Technische Universität München rely on Lifesize

The Technical University of Munich (TUM), a leading European research university, needed to run a two-week postgraduate workshop on embodied intelligence and soft robotics that culminated in interactive sessions with top international scientists. To preserve grant funds and avoid the cost and impracticality of flying speakers in, TUM sought an easy-to-use, cross-platform video conferencing solution that kept sessions fully interactive.

TUM expanded its existing Lifesize deployment and adopted the Lifesize app, a cloud-based, secure, and interoperable system that external guests can start quickly. As a result, guest lectures and workshops now run regularly by video, sessions are recorded for on-demand access across time zones, and students and researchers worldwide can participate and collaborate more efficiently.
