Holiday Coast Credit Union (HCCU) is a community-based financial institution serving mid-to-north New South Wales with 14 branches from Maitland to Coffs Harbour. With branches up to 2.5 hours apart, HCCU struggled to keep staff informed, maintain company culture and give customers timely access to specialists without costly, time-consuming and sometimes unsafe travel.

HCCU partnered with Modcoms to deploy a LifeSize Room 220 HD system in the head-office boardroom, 14 branch desktop units and three video-conferencing software licenses over existing Telstra links, rolled out in five weeks. The credit union now saves at least 20 hours of executive travel weekly, uses video for sales, management and board meetings, has reduced costs and improved engagement, and is exploring remote expert consultations to serve members faster.
