Alcatel‑Lucent Enterprise, a global provider of telecommunications products and services, needed an easy way to run its annual Sales Kick‑Off across multiple time zones and boost employee participation. Historically organized regionally and face‑to‑face, the event limited attendance and incurred significant travel costs; the company wanted a scalable solution to improve interaction between management, sales and regional teams.
Partnering with LifeSize, ALE deployed the Connect virtual conferencing platform with LifeSize Video Center for live HD sessions, streaming and recording across its global rooms and 36 international sites. The hybrid solution engaged roughly 1,200–1,300 participants (including a 125‑person US session and a Stuttgart broadcast streamed to 15 sites), reduced travel, improved engagement and inspired a long‑term shift toward company‑wide video collaboration.
