Activision, a leading global video‑game developer and publisher, needed a better way for distributed teams to collaborate on fast‑moving, graphics‑intensive gameplay. Existing video links were blurry, lagged or froze, and teams across multiple countries and platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, Wii) needed a solution that combined face‑to‑face interaction with full‑motion game video—often over limited bandwidth.
Activision deployed LifeSize HD endpoints (Express and Room) across key studios, using HDMI to share console video and delivering smooth 30 fps even on low‑cost DSL. The result: weekly cross‑site design reviews replacing monthly in‑person meetings, significantly reduced travel, faster development cycles and measurable time and cost savings.
