Westwood Professional Services, a U.S. surveying and engineering firm with staff in multiple offices and often working in the field, needed a way to improve cross-team cooperation and connect people across conference rooms, desktops and remote worksites. The challenge was supporting hybrid meetings that include room systems, individual laptops and third parties while reducing travel and keeping interactions simple for clients.
Westwood deployed Lifesize room systems in conference rooms plus the Lifesize Cloud desktop and web clients, using HD video, screen sharing and interoperability with Cisco/Polycom to enable seamless hybrid meetings. The solution is now in near-constant use — managers and field staff connect more easily, company town halls and planning meetings are attended remotely, and travel costs have declined while collaboration and engagement have improved.
