Case Study: Alinma Tokio Marine (Saudi insurer) achieves faster sales and improved customer experience with Liferay DXP

A Liferay Case Study

Preview of the Alinma Tokio Marine Case Study

Pioneering digital innovation in the Saudi insurance industry

Alinma Tokio Marine (ATMC), a Sharia‑compliant joint venture between Alinma Bank and Tokio Marine in Saudi Arabia, sought to grow its retail insurance business beyond time‑consuming, offline processes. Facing a digitally savvy customer base, ATMC needed a secure, scalable website and customer portal that would let customers buy motor policies, make payments, access documents and lodge complaints while enabling employees to manage cases and provide support.

Working with Ejada Systems and Liferay DXP, ATMC launched an integrated mobile‑and‑desktop digital ecosystem using out‑of‑the‑box features, extensive integration, configurable portlets and business process automation. The new platform shortened policy setup from about 30 minutes to 3 minutes, expanded payment options, increased retail sales, improved customer and employee satisfaction, streamlined operations and strengthened ATMC’s digital brand position.
