K&H Bank, part of Belgium’s KBC Group and one of Hungary’s top three banks with about 4,000 employees and 210 branches, set digitalisation as a strategic priority and sought a customer portal that would support everyday banking needs. After a thorough review of portal vendors and partners — guided by Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and references — K&H selected Liferay and Webtown to build a flexible, enterprise-grade portal that met strict functional and business requirements.
The implemented solution delivers a responsive, conversion-focused user experience across desktop, tablet and mobile, including an easy online account-opening flow, goal-based product recommendations, an interactive branch map with route planner, and a document lister for legal compliance. Built from detailed wireframes and designed for easy external content contribution (including student-supported localization), the portal launched on time and gave K&H the agility to meet its digital goals without platform restrictions.
