HDI Assicurazioni, a multinational insurer founded in 1881 and active in auto, home and life insurance, set out to modernize its digital customer experience by centralizing policy, claims and account management on a single platform. The company needed to digitalize real‑time customer interactions, redesign its website into reusable services for expansion and standardization, and drive customer adoption of new self‑service tools.
Working with everis, HDI built a Liferay DXP customer portal using an agile design, implementation, support and monitoring approach, delivering the solution in about 18 weeks. The portal delivered fast results—50,000 new registrations in the first six months (13% fully self‑registered) and 220,000+ total users—while streamlining payments, claims and account management, providing an always‑on communication channel, reducing IT workload, improving data collection and personalization, and increasing internal agility.
