Case Study: Sahaj scales its vendor portal to connect rural communities and boost transactions with Liferay DXP

A Liferay Case Study

Preview of the Sahaj Case Study

Expanding business with Liferay DXP to connect rural communities to the digital world

Sahaj is an IT-enabled services company that connects rural India to banking, insurance, e-learning, retail and government services through a network of partners called Sahaj Mitrs. Their vendor portal, built on Liferay Community Edition, lacked scalability, modern UX and easy content publishing, causing partner frustration, stalled growth and difficulty reaching more rural communities.

Sahaj migrated to Liferay DXP with PwC and Liferay support to unlock enterprise CMS, improved UI/UX and faster feature delivery. The revamped portal increased retention and adoption—18,000 new users (nearly 50,000 active), about 30,000 transactions per day and 700+ concurrent users—while speeding time-to-market, simplifying publishing and enabling new services (including a native Android app) that expand their reach into rural markets.
