The repository held about 350 products, 450 procedures with 14,000 appendices, 5,000 attached files (just over 15 GB) and served 1,500 daily and 2,000 occasional users; the team needed a flexible, cost‑effective solution that would reorganize content, open controlled access to external partners, and meet tight deadlines.

They implemented Liferay Portal to deliver product‑specific environments, fine‑grained permissions, a one‑click forum and a custom function to identify contract owners, using iterative, business‑driven development.
