A Liferay Case Study
The Brazilian Army, responsible for the country’s land defense and internal order, faced a fragmented and insecure web presence that undermined usability, visual consistency and efficient communication. Officials relied on analogue workflows and print approvals because the old portal lacked content management, confidentiality in internal channels, and a coherent information architecture, which reduced productivity and misrepresented the organization.
Partnering with Sea Tecnologia and using Liferay, the Army redesigned its portal with a consistent information architecture, a simplified CMS for non-technical content editing, and a secure internal portlet (Resiscomsex) for confidential communications between units. The modernization unified disparate sites into a single hierarchy, increased visits and self-service content management, and delivered faster, more secure internal communication and higher operational productivity.
