BeSafe Technologies provides real-time site intelligence—floor plans, photos and building details—to police, fire, EMT and other emergency responders to improve preparation and response. The company had been delivering materials on CDs, USBs and paper, leaving clients without a way to keep critical information current or access it anytime; its public website also lacked content management and was hard to maintain and expand.

BeSafe implemented a customer portal built on Liferay Portal (initially Community Edition, then upgraded to Enterprise Edition with Dunn Solutions) that delivered role-based access, user groups/organization structures, a CMS, improved navigation and responsive design. The portal enabled online collaboration and subscriptions, created recurring maintenance and support revenue streams alongside one-time setup fees, consolidated product presentation, and provided a stable, mobile-friendly platform positioning BeSafe as a web-based safety and emergency preparedness solution for schools, hospitals and other organizations.
