Evangelical Homes of Michigan tests personalized memory video tablets over 4 months with LifeLoop

Evangelical Homes of Michigan partnered with LifeLoop (iN2L) to explore the impact of personalized video content on memory loss. Their challenge was to test the functionality of a new handheld tablet, the FOCUS, designed for dementia clients to help prompt reminiscence and memory therapy.

LifeLoop's solution involved a project with local students to create personalized video experiences for use on the iN2L FOCUS tablets. This wireless, mobile device allowed individuals to access brain fitness games and personal content anywhere, from a porch swing to a car. The implementation successfully elicited responses from non-responsive clients, encouraging simple conversation and nonverbal interactions like laughter and smiles.
