National Oilwell Varco (NOV), a global designer, manufacturer, and service provider of oil and gas equipment, needed a way to help customers avoid operational surprises and improve the effectiveness of its service technicians in the field. NOV worked with Librestream, using the Onsight augmented reality platform as the foundation for its custom-branded TrackerVision application.

Librestream’s solution connected field technicians with offsite experts through mobile devices and the RealWear HMT-1 wearable, enabling real-time video/audio collaboration and tools like telestration. The result was faster issue resolution and internal training, with NOV reporting up to 70% time savings in total productivity hours for technicians.
