WestCare, a non-profit health and human services organization serving 17 states and 4 U.S. territories, wanted to better support its 1,350 employees despite limited ability to raise compensation. With only one medical plan previously offered and paper-based enrollment across 22 regional entities, the organization needed a more flexible, employee-friendly benefits approach. Liazon’s benefits marketplace for active employees provided a way to add value through choice.

Using the Liazon-powered marketplace, WestCare expanded benefits options, improved enrollment and administration, and supported employees with webinars and Liazon’s Employee Service Center. The results were strong: nearly half of employees selected a different plan than the year before, 38% chose a less costly plan, 95% were satisfied with the marketplace, 87% found the recommendation helpful, and 82% felt WestCare’s contribution was worth more. Liazon also helped streamline payroll coordination and extend benefits access to non-U.S.-based employees.
