TitleMax, a TMX Finance company, needed a better way to manage benefits for its 5,000+ employees spread across storefront locations. After earlier approaches failed to provide enough decision support, personalized service, or cost control, the company turned to Liazon for a private exchange solution that could improve understanding, support a defined contribution model, and help attract and retain talent.
Liazon implemented a Liazon-powered private exchange with a consumer-like shopping experience, robust education tools, multilingual support, and phone/email customer service. The results were strong: enrollment in the HSA-qualified plan rose 12%, average plan cost was 9% lower than the prior year, and ancillary benefits participation increased, including Critical Illness (51%), Hospital Indemnity (71%), and Pet Insurance (67%). In addition, 97% of employees said they better understood their health coverage, 97% valued their benefits more, and 94% preferred choosing their own benefits.
