PlayCore, a manufacturing company headquartered in Chattanooga, TN, grew rapidly through acquisition, expanding from 3 businesses to 26 in 12 years and from 2 medical plans to 21 across its locations. This created major complexity for HR, with different benefit offerings, insurers, and administration processes across 21 sites nationwide. Liazon helped PlayCore move from a traditional benefits approach to a more unified total rewards strategy using a benefits marketplace.

With Liazon’s marketplace, PlayCore standardized benefits into 4 medical plans, added new ancillary offerings, and introduced HSA-qualified options for the first time. The vendor also provided videos, tutorials, a recommendation engine, centralized billing, and employee education to support enrollment. Results included 100% employee satisfaction with the shopping and enrollment experience, 95% satisfaction with plan variety, 27% of employees switching to an HSA-qualified plan, and improved retention and administration efficiency.
