Media Company, a 4,400-employee media organization, needed a better way to manage benefits after three straight years of double-digit cost increases and a paper-based enrollment process that no longer fit its digital-first brand. The company also wanted to introduce new benefit options, including an HSA, while helping employees navigate open enrollment during its busiest season.
Liazon implemented an online benefits marketplace with employee education, training, and enrollment support through webinars, in-person meetings, and an administrative portal. The results were strong: more than $4 million in savings, a 15% reduction in gross medical premiums, and a drop in the high-plan enrollment rate from 91% to 36%. Employees also increased use of voluntary benefits, and satisfaction remained high, with 95% preferring to choose their own benefits and 91% satisfied with the variety of choices.
