Case Study: Weill Cornell Medicine achieves sustained 10–12% application growth and faster admissions processing with Liaison's UniCAS and BioMedCAS

A Liaison Case Study

Preview of the Weill Cornell Medicine Case Study

Weill Cornell Medicine streamlines admissions processes and sees sustained 10-12% growth in applicants

Weill Cornell Medicine faced inefficient, error-prone application processing after a homegrown system failed to meet expectations, so the school issued an RFP and selected Liaison to replace it. Initially implementing Liaison’s UniCAS for two Ph.D. program applications, Weill Cornell quickly expanded UniCAS to multiple master’s, summer and certificate programs and later adopted Liaison’s BioMedCAS for its Ph.D. programs.

Liaison delivered a one-stop admissions solution (UniCAS with WebAdMIT and Liaison services) that automated recommendation requests, reduced duplicate records, and streamlined reviewer workflows. As a result, Weill Cornell Medicine saw sustained 10–12% growth in applications, increased completed applications (incompletes fell to about 1%), and cut application review time from 8 days to 1–2 days, while freeing staff to focus on interviews and applicant communications.
