A Liaison Case Study
Pacific Lutheran University aimed to streamline its graduate admissions process and become paperless. To achieve this, director of graduate admission Catherine Chan led the university’s configuration and adoption of Liaison’s WebAdMIT within the vendor’s Centralized Application Service (CAS), intending to replace spreadsheets, Word review files, and paper checklists with a single cloud-based system.
Liaison implemented WebAdMIT features—Local Status, Custom Fields, Requirements, List Manager and Export Manager—to centralize applicant tracking, manage reviewer tasks, and provide real-time status visibility for faculty. The change eliminated Excel trackers and scanned paperwork, removed email/status check-ins, improved transparency across programs, and saved staff time and resources by allowing programs and admissions staff to view and update application status directly in WebAdMIT.
