A Liaison Case Study
Palo Alto University faced a growing backlog from in-house processing of graduate psychology and counseling applications and needed a faster, more scalable admissions solution. When the APA launched PSYCAS in partnership with Liaison, PAU chose to join that centralized application service to leverage Liaison’s experience and reduce processing time while improving recruitment for its master’s and doctoral programs.
Liaison implemented PSYCAS (with tools like EMP and WebAdMIT) to handle application materials centrally, eliminating the backlog and freeing admissions staff to counsel prospective students. As a result, PAU expects increased application volumes and growth in its two master’s programs, will track the full admissions funnel versus prior years, and has set a measurable goal—initial staff response within 24 hours—demonstrating improved customer service and more efficient admissions operations under Liaison.
