A Liaison Case Study
Oregon Health & Sciences University (OHSU) faced a labor-intensive, paper-driven admissions process that required staff to open, sort and manually scan mounds of physical mail and supporting documents. The Registrar’s Office also struggled to report on key student populations because data lived in disparate places, so OHSU needed a centralized, more transparent system—prompting adoption of Liaison’s UniCAS™.
Liaison implemented its UniCAS centralized application and document-management platform, giving applicants real-time status updates, faculty a unified review workspace, and staff automated intake and reporting tools. As a result, Liaison helped OHSU cut application processing time by 99% (staff now perform about 5% of the prior manual work), reduce time-to-decision by at least a week for most programs, double international PhD applications, and grow applications year over year by 41% for PhD and 24% for master’s programs while dramatically reducing calls and emails.
