Missouri State University - Customer Case Study

Missouri State University faced falling international graduate enrollment (about an 8–9% decline over four years), limited racial and ethnic diversity, and the need to better attract and serve older, working students. To address recruitment, marketing, and admissions workflow challenges the university partnered with Liaison, implementing Liaison’s GradCAS and Enrollment Marketing Platform (EMP) to expand reach, promote affordability and flexible delivery formats, and streamline application processing.

Liaison’s GradCAS gave Missouri State configurable, program-level application sites and integration with WebAdMIT so departments can review applicants first, automate communications, and benchmark against broader CAS pools. Early outcomes include 250 individualized application sites, strengthened holistic review and reporting capabilities, and the ability to track time-to-decision and applicant trends—steps that Liaison says will speed admissions decisions, improve applicant experience, and support the university’s efforts to boost diversity and enrollment.
