A Liaison Case Study
Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering faced slow, fragmented graduate admissions: ApplyTexas data had to be translated and uploaded into TAMU’s system before applicants received IDs or any outreach, producing delays of days to a week and preventing graduate advisors from accessing pre-decision materials or contacting in-progress applicants. To solve this, the College selected Liaison’s EngineeringCAS as a single, centralized application portal.
Liaison’s EngineeringCAS centralized applications, provided a processing team to scan and package documents, and gave advisors real-time access to pre-decision files and in-progress applicants, while also enabling university and departmental branding for broader national exposure. The result for Texas A&M’s College of Engineering was faster pre-decision engagement, reduced staff overtime (after previously logging as many as 550 overtime hours, staff “didn’t work much overtime this season”), freed resources, and shorter decision timelines—all positioning the College to pursue expanded domestic and international recruitment goals.
