A Liaison Case Study
The University of Miami College of Engineering faced a fragmented, paper-heavy graduate admissions process—separate systems for biographical data, transcripts, recommendations and communications that required manual spreadsheets and lots of staff time. To modernize admissions, Director of Admission David T. Poole led UMCoE to adopt Liaison’s EngineeringCAS in November 2018 to create a single, data-driven portal and gain real-time analytics for better managerial decisions.
Liaison implemented EngineeringCAS as a centralized, paperless admissions platform with document imaging, a processing team to package application components, targeted communication tools and dashboards that enable remote committee review. The change streamlined outreach and application handling, shortened decision cycles, reduced administrative burden and improved the applicant experience, helping UMCoE save time and money while joining the thousands of programs already using Liaison’s CAS network.
