A Liaison Case Study
University of the Pacific, a “centralized, decentralized” graduate school, was struggling with admissions bottlenecks—two central admissions staffers were at capacity handling mailed transcripts, test scores and application questions. To simplify and scale its process the university adopted Liaison’s GradCAS (part of Liaison’s Centralized Application Service/CAS platform) to let applicants submit a single application to multiple graduate programs.
Liaison’s GradCAS and its WebAdMIT administrative portal automated transcript and application processing, gave staff granular visibility into application components, and freed up significant staff time—Pacific was able to reassign one of its two central processors to spend half her time on international student engagement. Pacific now uses 14 CAS versions, reports a smoother applicant experience and higher application volumes, and is planning to use additional Liaison tools (including Analytics by Liaison) to further improve enrollment decisions.
