A Liaison Case Study
Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) faced a heavy administrative burden in admissions—processing transcripts, verifying documents, tracking recommendations and hand‑calculating GPAs for thousands of applicants. To address this, BCOM adopted Liaison’s Centralized Application Service (CAS) and the WebAdMIT administrative portal (AACOMAS for osteopathic medical schools) to streamline application intake and management.
Liaison’s CAS/WebAdMIT handles master application processing, coursework verification and document tracking, effectively acting as an extension of BCOM’s staff. As a result, BCOM can manage roughly 5,400 applications per cycle without hiring “hundreds of staff,” freeing budgetary resources, accelerating applicant communications and interview invitations, and making the admissions process more time‑ and cost‑efficient.
