A Liaison Case Study
Indiana University of Pennsylvania needed a better way to manage student outreach and engagement as competition in higher education grew. The university had rich data, but it was difficult to organize and use in a way that could support retention initiatives and help staff intervene with students at the right time. IUP turned to Liaison Othot to build a more holistic, data-driven approach to student success.
With Liaison Othot’s predictive modeling, real-time risk indicators, success scores, and CRM-integrated workflows, IUP was able to standardize outreach and support through its Student Success Infrastructure. The university hired 18 navigators to use the platform’s insights, and the results included a 4 percentage point increase in first-year fall-to-fall retention, from 71% to 75%, more than 5% higher retention for Title III grant-eligible students, and its highest fall-to-spring retention rate in over a decade at 90.1%.
